The Corporation for Financing Industry - Technology -
Commerce (FINTEC) was found under the Decision of No 2080 / GP - UB, dated of the
22nd September in 1995, granted by Hanoi People Committee. FINTEC engage in activities in
such fields as Computer and Information Technology, Internet, Office Equipment, Food
Processing, and Non-banking Activities.
The
Remittance Payment Office was taken into operation under the Decision
No.336/QD-QLNN by Governor of State Bank of Vietnam,
saying, "FINTEC is allowed to be a remittance payment agent to Vietnam Technological
and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TECHCOMBANK) under current regulations on funds
mobilization and remittance payment."
The
Remittance Office affiliates directly to FINTEC. It was
established on 15th April in 1999 under the Company's Decision of No 1699/FT - QD of
Director General of Fintec corp. Turnover of the office was reported to increase from USD
3 million and DEM 1 million in 1999 to USD 13 million and DEM 1.5 million in first six
months of 2000. On the one hand, FINTEC continue to explore and exploit traditional
markets like the USA, Russia, Germany as well as new ones like Canada, Eastern Europe and
Australia. On the other hand, we are trying to enhance our service by opening offices in
convenient places for local recipients.

On March
2nd, 1999 the Governor of State Bank of Vietnam signed the Decision No.336/QD-QLNN,
saying, "FINTEC is allowed to be a remittance payment agent to Vietnam Technological
and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TECHCOMBANK) under current regulations on funds
mobilization and remittance payment."
On July
1st, 1999 the Governor of State Bank of Vietnam signed the official document
No.1062/CV-QLNH1, saying, "FINTEC is eligible for being a remittance payment agent at
the branches in Hochiminh City and Danang City of TECHCOMBANK in order to meet the need of
fast payment and to facilitate remittance recipients."
On April
12th, 2000 the Governor of State Bank of Vietnam signed No.1/GP-QLNH, saying, "FINTEC is eligible
for receiving foreign currencies from Vietnamese overseas and foreigners to pay to local
beneficiaries."
